Privacy Policy — Claude Gmail

Who this is for

Claude Gmail is a private, personal application operated by its sole owner. It is not a commercial service and has no users other than the operator's own Google accounts.

What it does

It connects the operator's own Google accounts to an AI assistant (Claude) so that email can be searched, read, drafted, sent and organised through natural-language requests.

What data is accessed

With the operator's explicit OAuth consent, the application accesses Gmail message content, metadata and labels belonging to the account that granted consent. It accesses no other account.

How data is handled

• Data is fetched from Google's APIs on demand, in direct response to a request, and is not copied into any separate database or analytics system.
• OAuth tokens are stored on a single private server controlled by the operator, readable only by the service account that runs the application.
• No data is sold, rented, or shared with any third party. Message content is transmitted only between Google's APIs, this application, and the AI assistant fulfilling the request.
• All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS.

Retention and deletion

No email content is retained after a request completes. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately and permanently ends the application's access to that account.

Limited Use

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
